Columbus Day is here, although for some the day is celebrated as Indigenous People's Day.

On Oct. 9, President Trump issued a proclamation declaring Oct. 13, 2025, as Columbus Day to commemorate "Christopher Columbus’ historic voyage" and urging residents to "observe this day with appropriate ceremonies and activities."

While Columbus Day is a federal holiday, it's not a paid Florida holiday.
