Union Minister Rajnath Singh , Ministry of Defence (MoD), was on a two-day official visit to Australia from October 9 to 10, 2025, at the invitation of Richard Marles, Deputy Prime Minister(PM) and Defence Minister of Australia, marking the first-ever visit of an Indian Defence minister since 2014.

The visit aligns with the 5 th anniversary of the India-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP), signed in 2020.
