Rhode Island FC's regular-season home finale was perhaps its biggest win at Centreville Bank Stadium this year, blanking the Tampa Bay Rowdies 5-0 on Saturday, Oct. 12, and closing in on a second-straight playoff berth.

JJ Williams scored a pair of goals, and Noah Fuson, Albert Dikwa “Chico” and Maxi Rodriguez also scored to put RIFC (10-11-7) within two points of clinching a spot in the 2025 USL Championship Playoffs with two games remaining.

Williams opened the scoring by netting his fifth goal this season in the eighth minute when he took a pass from Fuson and curled his shot past Tampa Bay's goalie Bill Hamid.
