A man was arrested today - Monday - on suspicion of the murder of a 13 year-old girl 31 years ago.
Lindsay Rimer was last seen walking to a local shop to buy breakfast cereal on November 7, 1994, in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire.
Her body was found weighed down in a canal nearby some six months later.
West Yorkshire Police said today a man was arrested at an 'undisclosed UK Prison' on suspicion of Lindsay's murder. The force confirmed he is 'serving a sentence for other offences', but didn't elaborate further.
Police said the man was being interviewed today and is 'expected to be bailed and returned to prison while enquiries continue'. No further details have been revealed.
