MACON, Ga. — A man was killed in Macon after being hit by a train in Macon, according to Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones.

He says the call came in at around 4:30 a.m. Monday morning.

The man was on the tracks behind some businesses on Arkwright Road when he was hit.

The man — who was identified as a 40-year-old man — was pronounced dead on the scene.

Jones says that they are currently working to notify the man's family before they release his name.
