Wind speeds nearing 30 mph and periods of heavy rain are expected to impact the Baltimore area as a nor’easter continues to moves along the Eastern seaboard into Monday.
A nor’easter is a type of storm along the East Coast characterized by strong northeast winds, heavy precipitation and coastal flooding. The National Weather Service indicates that Ocean City is expected to be the most affected area of Maryland, with wind speeds likely to reach 35 to 40 mph and gusts nearing 60 mph.

Officials warn that 1 to 2 feet of street flooding could occur in several low-lying areas, including downtown Ocean City from the Inlet to 15th Street, Isle of Wight Mobile Home Park, Warrens Park, Little Salisbury and northern bayside neighborhoods.
