CHICAGO, Ill. (WTVO) — President Trump has called for Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker to be jailed for allegedly failing to protect ICE officers in Chicago, sparking a political clash.

The comments from President Trump have drawn a response from Vice President J.D. Vance, who stopped short of endorsing the call for imprisonment but criticized Pritzker for failing his oath of office.

"He should suffer some consequences. Whether he's violated a crime, ultimately I would leave to the courts, but I certainly think that he has violated his fundamental oath of office," Vice President Vance said.
