Footage on Monday showed the emotional moments several Israeli hostages who were released from captivity on Gaza reunited with their families back in Israel.
At a hospital in Reim, Einav Zangauker, arguably the most prominent face of the campaign to free the hostages, hugged her son Matan as her arrived for medical checks.
"My life, my life, you are my life, champion, hero," Einav said as she embraced her son.
Matan Zangauker was kidnapped from kibbutz Nir Oz along with his girlfriend, Ilana Gritzewsky.
The two met while working on a medical cannabis farm there.
Gritzewsky was released after 55 days and has since advocated tirelessly for his release, wearing a hat of Zangauker’s she rescued from their burned home.
Released hostage Eitan Mor also arrived back in Israel where he was embraced by his emotional parents.
Mor was working as a security guard at the Nova music festival, where he helped evacuate people injured in the attack.
