Chikkamagaluru, Oct 13: A shocking case of domestic violence was reported in Chikkamagaluru after a 27-year-old woman was brutally murdered by her husband late Sunday night, allegedly over a volatile marital dispute involving dowry harassment and refusal of physical intimacy.

The victim, identified as Nethravathi, was killed by her husband, Naveen, just five months after their marriage, which was arranged through a matrimonial website.

Police confirmed the couple’s married life effectively ended after only 15 days, when Nethravathi returned to her parental home. She had previously filed a police complaint, alleging dowry harassment and mental torture by Naveen and his family.
