The Kansas City Chiefs walked away from the Detroit Lions game with a 30-17 win, but the actions of Brian Branch overshadowed the victory.

JuJu Smith-Schuster and Brian Branch had been exchanging hits throughout the game, and tensions finally boiled over after the final whistle.

While celebrating the victory on the field, cameras caught the Detroit Lions safety slowly walking past Patrick Mahomes so he could confront the Chiefs’ wideout.

Smith-Schuster put out his hand before Branch struck him, sending Kansas City’s wideout to the ground. After collecting himself, he would get up and run back over to Branch to attack him back, but that only led to him being thrown to the ground by his facemask.

Branch spoke about the incident afterward.
