Viewers reckon they've cracked the 'real meaning' behind Netflix's newest true crime sensation.
The latest instalment of Monster, subtitled The Ed Gein Story, seeks to chronicle the genuine account of the notorious murderer. Gein admitted to two killings whilst also pilfering numerous corpses from local graveyards.
When police raided his property after his capture, they uncovered chilling objects crafted from human remains and flesh. Charlie Hunnam portrays Gein in the Netflix production.
Gein is frequently referenced as the muse for legendary horror films and characters, including Norman Bates from Psycho, Leatherface and Buffalo Bill from Silence of the Lambs. This concept forms the backbone of the programme, co-developed by Ryan Murphy.
