Clear skies are ahead for the Stark County area — at least until the weekend.
The National Weather Service is forecasting sunny, clear conditions for most of the week in the Akron-Canton area with conditions in the 70s. Temperatures are expected to peak Oct. 18, with highs near 74.
"Seasonable weather is expected today with temperatures in the upper 60s to lower 70s," the service's Cleveland station posted on X (formerly known as Twitter). "A few isolated rain showers are possible this morning and afternoon across the eastern half of the area while sunshine is favored out west."
Showers are likely in the area over the weekend, with a 60% chance of precipitation beginning the evening of Oct. 18 and through Oct. 19.
