COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - The Gamecocks have parted ways with offensive line coach Lonnie Teasley. Head coach Shane Beamer made the change after South Carolina dropped its third loss of the season to LSU.
Run Game coordinator/tight ends coach Shawn Elliott will assume the offensive line coaching responsibilities.
Beamer says the decision was made based on the group’s body of work this season. USC’s offensive line ranks 15th in the SEC with 20 sacks allowed for a loss of 185 yards.
On Saturday night, LSU’s defense had five sacks against Lanorris Sellers.
Beamer says every member of the offensive staff needs to be better.
Teasley was in his third season as the Gamecocks’ offensive line coach, taking over that role on a full-time basis on Jan. 6, 2023.
