LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - After their first true road game of the season, Matt Rhule and the Nebraska Cornhuskers have a short week ahead of them as they prepare for a Friday night tilt against the Minnesota Golden Gophers in Minneapolis. The game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. kickoff and will be nationally televised on FOX.
#25 Nebraska sits at 5-1 (2-1) through the first half of the season for the second consecutive season. On Sunday, they appeared in the AP Top 25 for the first time this season with a #25 ranking. While the team also started 5-1 last season, the Huskers limped to a 1-5 record through their final six games, finishing the season at 6-6 (3-6).
Meanwhile, Minnesota sits at 4-2 (2-1) after it’s 27-20 comeback win over Purdue on Saturday. The Gophers have dropped games to #1 Ohio
