PARAGOULD, Ark. (KAIT) - A Paragould man is being held on a $20,000 cash-only bond after police said he held a gun to his child’s head.

Greene County District Court Judge Daniel Stidham found probable cause Saturday to charge 48-year-old William Albert Richards III with terroristic threatening and aggravated assault on a family or household member.

According to court documents, Richards’ wife reported to police on Oct. 9 that she had received threatening messages from him.

“The victim provided screenshots of their message history which include messages of ‘U are DEAD’ and ‘So U and her can both get the BULLET,’” Detective Cpl. Aaron Gamber stated in the affidavit.
