Hamas handed over all the 20 living Israeli hostages as part of the Gaza peace ceasefire deal on Monday, Oct 13.
Earlier in the morning, Hamas had handed over the first set of living Israeli hostages to the Red Cross team as per a ceasefire agreement. Soon after the group released the remaining 13 people to the Red Cross, marking an end their captivity for over two years.
They would soon be handed over to the Israeli Defence Forces and their family members.
People gathered in huge numbers to celebrate the historic moment.
A few hostages who were released also had a conversation with their family members through video calls.
The released hostages will undergo medical treatment and then reunite with their families, IDF said.
