ST. LOUIS – Homicide detectives with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department have identified the victim of a fatal shooting this past weekend.

The shooting happened just before 10:20 a.m. in the 6000 block of Lucille Avenue, in the city’s Walnut Park West neighborhood.

Police arrived at the scene and found a man lying in a gangway. He’d been shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim was identified as Anthony Ballard II. He was 34.

The investigation is still ongoing, police said.
