After over 50 years in Hollywood, Diane Keaton died at the age of 79 on Oct. 11, 2025.

Most known for her stunning dramatic performance in "The Godfather Part II" as well as her Oscar award-winning role in "Annie Hall," she was celebrated for her comedic film roles as the archetypical coastal grandmother in films like "Something's Gotta Give."

Francis Ford Coppola, director of "The Godfather" trilogy, publicly paid his respects to Keaton on social media , saying that she was the personification of creativity.

"Words can’t express the wonder and talent of Diane Keaton. Endlessly intelligent, so beautiful," Coppola said. "From her earliest performances in 'Hair' and throughout her amazing career, she was an extraordinary actor."
