LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Taylor Swift’s newest album, "The Life of a Showgirl," has the biggest first-week numbers ever recorded for an album. According to Billboard , in the first five days of its release, it had been streamed or bought more than 3.5 million times.
The University of Louisville is now offering a class dedicated to "Swiftonomics."
“It’s a really great opportunity to see how economics is really influential in all aspects of our life," said Beth Munnich, associate professor of economics at the University of Louisville. "Economics is really about how people make decisions when we don’t have unlimited amounts of time and money, and Taylor Swift sings about that a lot."
This will be the university's first class dedicated to a single artist.
