New Delhi: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Monday said he has directed the Chief Secretary to examine whether the Tamil Nadu model of restricting Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) activities in government land and buildings can be implemented in the state.

Siddaramaiah said that this decision follows a letter from Minister for Electronics, IT and Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Priyank Kharge, who asked the government to prohibit RSS shakhas and events on public and government-owned premises. “(Priyank) Kharge has written to the government asking us to prohibit it as is done in Tamil Nadu,” the Chief Minister said.
