A student has been arrested after taking to social media to make threats to harm people at his school.

The (FBI) called the Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Department Saturday morning, alerting them of the threats.

Pottawatomie County Captain Jared Strand said the Tecumseh student made the Facebook post about one month ago.

Strand said within six and a half hours, officers executed a search warrant and took the suspect into custody, and conducted an interview.

Strand said there was a picture the student posted to social media showing two different types of weapons in a bathroom stall.
