EXCLUSIVE : Magilla Entertainment , the company behind long-running Discovery franchise Moonshiners, is staffing up.

The company has hired Kevin Duncan as Chief Development Officer. Duncan joins from Bright North, the production company previously known as Efran Films before it was acquired by Redbird IMI.

It comes as Magilla has landed a couple of new series including Peacock reality series O’ahu Shores and Investigation Discovery’s Who Hired the Hitman?.

At Bright North, Duncan developed series such as Ranchland Listings for Prime Video, Everything on the Menu with Braun Strowman for USA Network as well as The CW’s TV We Love and Paramount+’s PD True . He spent nearly three years at the company.
