The League of Women Voters of Catawba Valley will hold a candidate forum on Tuesday, Oct. 14, for the Hickory mayoral race and the Ward 5 Hickory City Council seat.

The forum will be held 6 p.m. to 7: 30 p.m. at Patrick Beaver Memorial Library on the Salt Block in Hickory.

The forum is sponsored by The League of Women Voters of Catawba Valley, in collaboration with the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Xi Phi Omega Chapter and the NAACP Hickory Branch. The event is free and open to the public.

All candidates for mayor and Ward 5 city council member in the Nov. 4 general election have been invited to participate in the forum.

The candidates for mayor at incumbent Hank Guess and Park Inglefield. The two candidates for Ward 5, who won in the primary, are incumbent David Zagaroli
