Taylor Swift's been number one, but she's never had two Eras Tour movies — until now.
On Oct. 13, the singer, who just released her 12th studio album, "The Life of a Showgirl," announced a new docuseries and film on the historic tour.
"Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The End of an Era" docuseries as well as "Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The Final Show" movie will be coming to Disney+ and Hulu in December.
After revealing the news on "Good Morning America," Swift took to social media, where she wrote in part, "We wanted to remember every moment leading up to the culmination of the most important and intense chapter of our lives."
The announcement comes nearly a year after the blockbuster international tour, which spanned 20 months, more than 140 shows and nearly two dozen countries, wrapped in December 2024.
However, the two new projects vary from the Eras Tour movie that was released in theaters in 2023. Here's what to know.
When does the Eras Tour docuseries, film come out?
"The End of an Era," the Eras Tour docuseries, will be released in two episode increments starting Dec. 12. See the schedule:
- Dec. 12: Episodes 1 and 2
- Dec. 19: Episodes 3 and 4
- Dec. 26: Episodes 5 and 6
The other movie, "The Final Show," which is a concert film including "The Tortured Poets Department" section of the performance, will be released on Dec. 12.

Will the Eras Tour documentary be shown in theaters?
As it stands, the docuseries and new concert film will both only be available to watch on the streaming services.
But if history is any indication, there could be a chance for the new projects to hit theaters.
Most recently, Swift marked her album release with "The Official Release Party of a Showgirl," an 89-minute theater exclusive film featuring lyric videos and a music video premiere for "The Fate of Ophelia."
And the first Eras Tour concert film, was in theaters for its release in 2023 before later becoming available on Disney+.
However, Swift's last documentaries, "Miss Americana" and "Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions" were released on streaming services in 2020 and not shown in theaters.
How does the new Eras Tour film differ from 2023 movie?
Swift's new Eras Tour projects include a six-part docuseries, "The End of an Era," and a concert film, "The Final Show."
Like the 2023 Eras Tour movie, "The Final Show" will show the full three-and-a-half hour long concert. However, the new film includes the extended setlist with songs from "The Tortured Poets Department," the album Swift released in 2024.
"The End of an Era," on the other hand, is a documentary-style series, so it shows behind the scenes footage of Swift throughout the tour.
Per the series trailer, "The End of an Era" will feature Swift training for the tour, practicing choreography, and unwinding from a show. It will even have cameos of Travis Kelce, Sabrina Carpenter, Gracie Abrams and more.
