A Georgia company has recalled retractable safety gates because a child can fit through the opening between the gate and the floor.

Mom Genius recalled the gates, which come in black and gray and feature a retractable mesh screen between metal frames, according to an announcement with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The gates are 33 inches high with a retractable width of up to 118 inches. The model number is SH.20.006B02.

“The recalled gates violate the mandatory standard for expansion gates and expandable enclosures because a child’s torso can fit through the opening between the gate and the floor, posing a risk of serious injury or death due to entrapment,” according to the CPSC.

No injuries have been reported.
