More ground cinnamon products were added to a health alert because they contained elevated lead levels, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced.

On Friday, Oct. 10, the FDA sent out an additional health alert warning that HAETAE-brand and Roshni-brand ground cinnamon contain elevated levels of lead. On Oct. 8, the administration added Durra and Wise Wife ground cinnamon.

"Exposure to these products may be unsafe," stated the agency in the release.

Since the summer of 2024, the agency has been sending out alerts warning of elevated lead levels in a total of 16 ground cinnamon products.

Before the FDA sent out alerts in October of this year, it had added Jiva Organic ground cinnamon to its list in September. Prime Day Deals: Shop sales in tech, home, fashion, beauty & mo
