CLEVELAND, Ohio — Northeast Ohio will enjoy picture-perfect fall conditions to start the week, with sunshine, mild temperatures and light winds before a midweek cooldown settles in.

Most of the region will stay mostly sunny Monday, though a few passing clouds could drift across far northeast Ohio in the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service in Cleveland . Afternoon highs will range from the mid 60s along the lakeshore to the low and mid 70s farther inland.

Light northeast winds around 5 to 10 mph could add a touch of coolness near Lake Erie but won’t spoil the comfortable conditions.

Mainly clear skies and calm winds tonight will allow temperatures to dip into the upper 40s to low 50s. Patchy fog may develop late, especially along or just west of the Interstate 71 corri
