A 14-year-old Missouri boy was shot and killed by a stray bullet while playing video games in his bedroom at his St. Louis home, according to authorities.
The St. Louis County Police Department responded just after 6 p.m. Wednesday to a 911 call about a shooting in the 10200 block of Hobkirk Drive. When officers arrived they found a 14-year-old boy, later identified as Duwan Morgan, dead from at least one gunshot wound.
"A senseless shootout led to a stray bullet entering my home, striking my beloved son Duwan Morgan, who was only 14 years old," his mother, Keshia Morgan, wrote in a GoFundMe description. "Duwan was a vibrant, caring young man with a bright future ahead of him. This loss has left an indescribable void in our lives."
No arrests have been made in the case.
