AMES — Three-star high school quarterback Kase Evans committed to play at Iowa State on Sunday.
Evans, a three-star prospect from Lexington, Texas, is the 18th commit and the only quarterback in ISU's 2026 class. He was a former Oklahoma State commit who decommitted after OSU fired coach Mike Gundy. Evans also has offers from Abilene Christian, Arkansas State and Florida Atlantic.
Per 247 Sports, Evans threw for 3,113 yards, 37 touchdowns and 7 interceptions on 210-for-343 passing (61.2%) as a junior in 2024. He added 180 rushing yards and two touchdowns on the ground.
Evans announced his decision on social media Sunday.
247 Sports ranks Evans as the No. 55 quarterback in his class, and he is the No. 151 prospect in the state of Texas.
