NORWALK – A man was undergoing surgery Monday morning for a gunshot wound to his upper body suffered in Norwalk.

The shooting occurred around 12 a.m. Monday, in the 14000 block of Pioneer Boulevard near Rosecrans Avenue, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Tracy Koerner.

The victim walked into a business and told the people inside he had been shot, Koerner said. The man was bleeding from the upper body.

Three suspects were seen walking toward Rosecrans, the deputy said. They remained at large.

Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics treated the victim and he was taken by ambulance to a hospital where he was undergoing surgery, Koerner said.
