When Mike Vrabel faces the Tennessee Titans in Week 7 for the first time since being fired as the team’s head coach following the 2023 season, his successor won’t be in attendance.

The Titans fired head coach Brian Callahan on Monday, six days before they host Vrabel’s New England Patriots.

Monday’s news comes amid Tennessee’s 1-5 start to the season and less than one month after Callahan gave up play-calling duties .

The 41-year-old went just 4-19 during his Titans tenure.

Tennessee’s offense ranks last in the NFL in yards per game (232.3) and 31st in points per contest (13.8).

Vrabel was the Titans’ head coach from 2018 to 2023, going 54-45 during his run, leading the group to the playoffs three times and earning the 2021 AP Coach of the Year award.
