On Monday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that the Tennessee Titans fired HC Brian Callahan ahead of Sunday's home game against the New England Patriots . According to The Athletic's Dianna Russini , Titans senior offensive assistant Mike McCoy will serve as the team's interim head coach.

It's worth noting Callahan replaced New England HC Mike Vrabel in January 2024. Tennessee would've been better off had it kept Vrabel, who led the franchise to three playoff trips in six seasons.

Callahan went 4-19 as Titans HC. He also failed to develop their young quarterbacks, whom he often blamed for the team's various problems.
