The cybercrime police of Panchkula, has arrested another accused in the alleged Rs 1.75-crore cyber fraud. The accused, identified as Harry, is the seventh accused arrested from Amritsar. The accused was produced before the court and has been remanded in five days’ police custody for detailed interrogation, police said.
The case dates back to 2024, when a Panchkula resident lodged a complaint at the cyber police station on July 31. In his complaint, he stated that on July 5, 2024, he came across a Facebook advertisement related to the stock market , which promised lucrative returns on investments.
