MILWAUKEE (WKOW) — Left-hander Aaron Ashby will take the mound for the Brewers to start the first game of the National League Championship Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers Monday night.
The club plans to go with a bullpen game against a Dodgers lineup that often features two lefties, Shohei Ohtani and Freddie Freeman, among their first three hitters.
Ashby has already appeared in four games this postseason for Milwaukee. He finished the regular season with a 2.16 ERA and 76 strikeouts across 43 appearances.
The Brewers plan to start Freddy Peralta in Game 2 on Tuesday night.
