Dementia Together, a Northern Colorado nonprofit that supports people living with dementia and their care partners, will host a free training Saturday in Berthoud for friends, family and anyone interested in learning about how to support people with dementia.

The educational symposium “Living Well with Dementia” runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and will be held at Grace Place church, at 375 Meadowlark Drive. Another free symposium will be held Oct. 30 at the Eaton Evangelical Free Church, 1325 Third St. in Eaton.

“Being able to have the skills and communication strategies to welcome them (someone with a cognitive impairment) into a conversation and to be able to make them feel at ease and comfortable and not wanting to self isolate or be socially isolated helps bring more people together
