TECUMSEH, Okla. (KFOR) — One person is dead, and two people have been arrested following a standoff on Monday at a home in Tecumseh.

According to authorities, the standoff situation happened at a home near Bethel Road and Old Mills Road. Deputies and investigators with the Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Office were circling back on an investigation regarding a missing person.

When deputies arrived at the home to speak with the son of the missing individual, he ran inside the residence and barricaded himself, armed with a firearm.

The standoff situation lasted for around 17 hours before a tactical team made its way into the home and arrested the son and a woman.

Following the arrest and while searching the residence, investigators found a male individual dead inside.
