In a late-night development, Haryana Director-General of Police (DGP) Shatrujeet Kapur was sent on extended leave after his name surfaced in a suicide note allegedly written by senior IPS officer Y Puran Kumar, was found dead at his Chandigarh home last week.
The 52-year-old Kumar, a 2001-batch IPS officer posted as Inspector General at the Police Training Centre in Rohtak's Sunaria, allegedly shot himself dead at his Sector 11 residence on October 7.
