INDIANAPOLIS — No Colts running back is getting much playing time other than Jonathan Taylor , who is playing like the best back in the NFL, but a surprising development has occurred over the last couple of weeks.

Veteran running back Ameer Abdullah was given a pair of red-zone carries against the Raiders, then two more touches on Sunday, apparently getting a few chances ahead of rookie running back DJ Giddens.
