NEWBERRY, S.C. (WIS) - A Newberry County man has been arrested on one count related to child sex abuse material, according to the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office.
Christopher Garrett Yarbrough was arrested and charged with a count of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor on Saturday.
The Attorney General’s Office said that the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force investigators had received a tip that led them to Yarbrough. Prosecutors said Yarbrough allegedly distributed child sex abuse material.
Records show that he was released from the Newberry County Detention Center on a $5,000 bond.
