The concrete sound walls along Interstate 10 in Baton Rouge are in for a cleaning, East Baton Rouge Mayor-President Sid Edwards' office said Monday.
In a news release, Edwards said the city-parish government and the Louisiana Department of Transportation will work together to clean the walls in both directions between Acadian Thruway and the I-10/I-12 split.
Overnight lane closures are expected to begin on Wednesday. DOTD will announce more specific closure times and locations, the release said.
The project, which is expected to take 10 to 12 working days, will use drones provided by LA Drone Services, which has been contracted to perform the work, the release said.
