GASTON, S.C. — A new neighborhood planned for Gaston is raising concerns about how much growth Lexington School District Four can handle. The proposed Enclave at Woodtrail would bring more than 300 homes to land south of Woodtrail Drive in Lexington County.
Developers have proposed a 318-home subdivision on more than 200 acres, with nearly half of the property set aside for open space. They say the project meets all county standards for single-family housing, including lot size and green space requirements. However, with four other subdivisions already approved for the district, some local officials worry about the pace of development.
