WARREN COUNTY, Ohio —

A 77-year-old man accused of killing a woman in Warren County was arraigned Monday morning.

Investigators say Gerald Finley shot the woman inside a car then drove her to the fire department to get help. Advertisement

Finley has been indicted on charges of murder and felonious assault.

Investigators say he had been living with the victim, Emilia Vinokur , at an apartment on Montgomery Road.

They say Finley told them he shot her because she was in pain from health problems.

A judge entered a not guilty plea on behalf of Finley.

Finley's attorney said he has heath problems that require a mobility device.

The judge raised his bond to $500,000.

Finley is being held in the Warren County Jail.
