It seems the whole world has gone a little crazy these days. Here in this country, we've had these afflictions before — the Civil War, the McCarthy era and Vietnam were all trying times. Of course, that doesn't explain why you can't get people to call you back or that your favorite box of cereal now costs $8. Particularly inexplicable is how the Chicago Cubs are in the MLB playoffs.
