Kristopher Farley has loved decorating for holidays since he was a kid. The volunteer firefighter and engineer by trade said once he bought his own home in Tolland, he knew he wanted to continue the tradition.

Depending on the time of year, there’s either a 30-foot pumpkin or a 40-foot Santa Clause sitting on the lawn outside his home.

“I was like, 'what if I just did a pumpkin?'” he said outside his white home. “At first, I thought like I’ll just get like a tiny little pumpkin as a joke.”

He opted for a giant orange pumpkin, which attracts a lot of visitors. However, last week, the orange pumpkin deflated from what he believes to be UV and exterior damage.
