PHOENIX — Heavy rain and thunderstorms swept across metro Phoenix on Monday, triggering widespread power outages.

These outages persisted after the National Weather Service (NWS) told KTAR News 92.3 FM around 3:45 p.m. that the storm had largely blown out of metro Phoenix.
