DES MOINES, Iowa -- We began the day at around the same temperature as yesterday, but ended up with cooler highs due to the passage of last night's cold front. Tonight will be a bit chillier.

Rain chances increase again during the early morning hours, and will be with us through the first half of the day Wednesday. Rain chances then move into northern Iowa late Wednesday and Thursday. Friday will bring another round of rain chances starting in the afternoon and lingering into the early morning hours on Saturday. We may also see a little light rain early Sunday morning.

Rainfall amounts for the week will be fairly light.
