A drug dealer who used mass marketing techniques to sell heroin, cocaine and cannabis attempted to jump out of a bedroom window when police closed in on him.

A court heard how Diontai Simpson sent out messages to people's phones advertising the sale of Class A and Class B drugs. He would send out three to four messages per day to customers in Derbyshire and Manchester and direct others to deal drugs on his behalf.

The 23-year-old’s crimes were uncovered by Derbyshire police’s Criminal Exploitation Team. He was first arrested by officers out on patrol who stopped a suspicious vehicle on November 21 last year.
