INDIANAPOLIS — Flight delays or a wait at TSA aren't the only sign of the government shutdown , but it's one most Americans see first.

Indiana State American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations CEO Brett Voorhies represents 40 unions in the Hoosier State with 300,000 members, including federal employees, at the airport.

"Airport employees and those who are actually traveling the skies and everything and putting them together and realize that man, you know, we really need to think about what's going on here, which direction is our government going in?" Voorhies said.

He also represents autoworkers, electricians, construction workers and other laborers. Voorhies said the consensus from his member is anxious, frustrated and concerned for the future.
