KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) - 800 out of nearly 2,000, that’s how many students at Chaparral High School will get to attend their high school homecoming, according to parents.
District leaders say their venue doesn’t have enough space.
“She’s crushed, frustrated and angry,” says Chuck Luther whose daughter is a senior at Chaparral High.
This was her last chance to go to the homecoming dance with her friends and it’s an opportunity that has come and gone twice.
Once, when she went to buy a ticket and they were sold out. And again when “a boy wasn’t able to go anymore and offered to give her his ticket but she was told they aren’t transferable,” Luther explains.
