In a major step towards member convenience and digital transformation, the Central Board of Trustees (CBT) of the Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF), chaired by Union Labour and Employment Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, on Monday approved several key reforms including simplified withdrawal norms, a new penal damages settlement scheme, and a comprehensive digital transformation roadmap under EPFO 3.0.
The 238th CBT meeting, attended by Minister of State Shobha Karandlaje, Labour Secretary Ramesh Krishnamurthi, and other senior officials, also cleared the selection of new portfolio managers and digital upgrades designed to enhance transparency, efficiency, and service delivery for over 30 crore EPF members.
